Combining documentary photography & newborn photography seems like a no-brainer. For this momma, it meant not having to leave the house, plan anything or force the older siblings to sit still for poses, all while still capturing what life was like just 3 weeks after giving birth to their newest addition. I ended up with dozens of photos of these 2 older siblings loving on their new little brother so hard that it looks like I asked them to... but nope. All this snuggling, hugging & kissing happening was completely unprompted & judging by mom's reaction, it happens daily. Welcome to the world, baby Hank! Beautiful miss Alesandra was just 4 weeks old when I met her & of course her proud new parents were excited to show her off. We had a relaxed Sunday morning session at their home, which allowed us to integrate some personal items & show off some of the baby's nursery which was AMAZING. All the details worked together so perfectly, including the most adorable little lace onesie. Admittedly, my baby-fever was super strong for this newborn session... After a 100-mile drive across Southern Florida, including 6 gator sightings & a lot of swampy nothingness... I got to meet this little 7lb bundle of perfection. Preslee Rose was born just 11 days prior & I think its safe to say this day of photos (although the first of many, I'm sure) was her biggest, most active day yet. She was more interested in being in mommy or daddy's arms than sleeping or modeling anywhere solo, but that just meant a lot more photos of these new parents embracing their new, tiny bundle of joy - which was fine by me! Newborn lifestyle photos are all about allowing you to remember how your child once fit into your arms so perfectly & what it felt like in that first week of having her home... Another sweet baby boy on the blog... this time, just 12 days new! I'll be honest, when mom, Valerie, contacted me to tell me baby #3 was on his way, it had felt like no time had passed at all since I photographed her second baby at their home in Jupiter. But 12 days after sweet baby Parker arrived, I met the family in Jupiter for another session & out ran an adorable 2.5 year old to remind me that it *had* been a while since we last saw each other. The love both Tyler & 6-year old Gavin had for their new little brother was almost too much to handle. Faster than I could even get my camera out of my bag, the 2 big brothers swarmed to their brother, gently petting him, kissing him & looking at him like he was the best thing in the world. Congratulations to the entire proud family!!

And just like that, my baby fever has returned. Meet Jack. At the time of our session, he was just 18 days new. His parents graciously allowed me into their home to capture some of that brand-new-baby-goodness & I could not stop swooning at his cuteness. I mean, just look at those lips! And toes! And fingernails! (Okay, okay, I'll stop). One of my favorite parts of the morning was the way the brand new Mom & Dad looked at their son... and how he looked at them in return. Another new arrival to announce! Meet brand new Wyatt Easton. Born just before Halloween, he was only 9 days old at the time of this at-home session with his two proud new parents. Congratulations, Erin & Jason! It was so great to meet Wyatt - he's perfect.

Ironically, the day of this photo session was this adorable little guy's due date. However, he arrived on his own schedule, 3.5 weeks prior, to two extremely proud new parents. I had such a great time with this family - spending most of the morning laughing at some great candid expressions and awh-ing at this still-so-newborn-tininess. Sunlight filled their home, in every room of the house, making it such a great setting, adding the personal at-home touches, as well. As with all newborn sessions, we let the youngest participant determine our schedule, making the experience as relaxed and carefree as possible for the entire family.

This week, I traveled up to Jacksonville to meet the newest addition to one of my favorite families... little 10 day old, Ethan James. Yet another brand new baby boy to hit the blog. Just three years ago, I had made the same trip (that time actually from Chicago, not Fort Lauderdale) to capture baby Noah... seen here. Now Noah is almost 3 and the sweetest, most proud big brother ever. It may have taken some cohesion to get the two in the same frame at times, but there was so much unprompted love, kissing and hand-holding that I felt privileged to capture all weekend. This beautiful family makes my job so easy... <3

This is the third brand new baby boy to hit the blog, I feel like its been forever since I've done pictures for a baby girl. Something in the water? Its also another at-home session - I love the intimate element these home sessions can add to the photos. Tyler was born 4 weeks prior to our session, but similar to my previous newborn, he had yet to reach his due date, so he was still newborn-tiny. His big brother, Gavin (and even the family dog, Ditka) both watched over the new family addition with excitement as I took photos.
