Another holiday season snuck up on me & my 'in-time-for-holiday-cards-and-gifts' weeks are filling up fast! I will not be offering my normal holiday mini sessions this year, but I am offering some AWESOME deals on 2 different short sessions on a handful of dates through December. I'm talking like $200 off my normal prices, people. 45-Minute Family Session - $200:

For those looking for the well-groomed family portraits in a short & sweet session, this is the option for you. It takes place in & around your home, which in addition to convenience, means more meaningful photos & the bonus of your kids (and you!) being their most comfortable.These sessions are also great for planned activities - baking cookies, decorating the Christmas tree, reading stories, etc. I'll find the best light & the best spots to shoot and while I do provide gentle direction for posing in these sessions (& capture a couple everyone-looking-at-the-camera- portraits), my personal favorites are the in-between moments & the candid shots that show your family connection. Included in this 45-minute family session is a private gallery to view & share all of your final images, plus a code to deliver your favorite 15 images as high-resolution files. 2-Hour Documentary Family Session - $300:

Documentary sessions capture your family's life in a more honest way - creating images of real moments that carry more of an emotional significance than a fancy-clothes portrait. These sessions are unscripted & not directed or posed in any way. They're most meaningful when I'm documenting a typical day in the life of your family, the things you want to remember forever. Do you play board games every Monday? Do you always go to get ice cream as a family on your way home from the park? Maybe your favorite moments are in the evenings when it calms down after bath time & you cuddle up for a story... or how a dance party breaks out in your living room when you try to cook dinner. Included in this 2-hour documentary family session is a private gallery to view & share all of your final images, plus unlimited high-resolution downloads of all images. I also offer professional prints & coffee-table books perfect for gifting!

Hollywood Beach Mini Sessions | Broward Family Photographer

This year's holiday mini session event took me back to one of my favorite little beaches in South Florida - Hollywood's North Beach Park.  I met lots of new great families & got to see some families again that have joined my mini sessions before.  Because I get a lot of repeat clients, I try to switch up the location of my events each year to provide some variety & I think the beach location worked out perfectly this year for those who joined my park event last year.  We had beautiful weather on this Saturday in mid-November... the kind of barefoot beach weather that makes a perfect holiday card to send to friends & family up north who are snowed-in & freezing (maybe a little cruel but it never stops being fun).  Thanks to everyone who joined me this year! [tg_masonry_gallery gallery_id="9183" layout="wide" columns="4"]

welcome 1 month old baby girl | coral springs newborn photographer

Beautiful miss Alesandra was just 4 weeks old when I met her & of course her proud new parents were excited to show her off. We had a relaxed Sunday morning session at their home, which allowed us to integrate some personal items & show off some of the baby's nursery which was AMAZING.  All the details worked together so perfectly, including the most adorable little lace onesie.  Admittedly, my baby-fever was super strong for this newborn session... Jessie's Maternity Photos | Fort Lauderdale Beach Photographer

After being slightly delayed due to South Florida's schizophrenic weather... (okay, okay, it was really just a typical 5-minute drizzle that I probably overreacted to)... we had excellent weather on Fort Lauderdale Beach for a quick maternity session!  Just the right amount of sun peeking through the clouds & a nice breeze to keep us from sweating within minutes... a great reminder of how beautiful our beaches are at this time of night.  You know what else is beautiful?  This glowing mommy-to-be who also happens to be my sister.  Baby girl Morgan is scheduled to make her arrival October 12th, so we of course had to get some prime belly shots in before the endless newborn, baby & family photos start up.  Consider this Morgan's very first photo session with Aunt Tammi.  So much more to come.  I can't wait to meet you, Morgan!!

12 Day Old Newborn Boy | Newborn Photography South Florida

Another sweet baby boy on the blog... this time, just 12 days new!  I'll be honest, when mom, Valerie, contacted me to tell me baby #3 was on his way, it had felt like no time had passed at all since I photographed her second baby at their home in Jupiter.  But 12 days after sweet baby Parker arrived, I met the family in Jupiter for another session & out ran an adorable 2.5 year old to remind me that it *had* been a while since we last saw each other.  The love both Tyler & 6-year old Gavin had for their new little brother was almost too much to handle.  Faster than I could even get my camera out of my bag, the 2 big brothers swarmed to their brother, gently petting him, kissing him & looking at him like he was the best thing in the world.  Congratulations to the entire proud family!!

Family of 4, Tree Tops Park | Holiday Family Photos South Florida

The growing Perez family and I were back at Tree Tops Park in Davie last weekend for our annual holiday mini session.  I love watching both of these boys grow into little men... but mostly, I love watching my childhood and forever best friend (and "cousin") grow into such an amazing mother. <3 

1 Year Old Boy + Family | Baby's First Year Photographer South Florida

Somehow an entire year has passed and I'm wrapping up this family's baby's first year photo package.  Seems like just yesterday that I photographed little Jaxon at 15 days old in their home.  For this session, we met on the beach, where we managed to get some sun after a cloudy and rainy morning.  Here are just a few of my favorite family shots... looking forward to keeping up with this family and continuing to watch these adorable boys grow!

3 Year Old Boy, 10 Month Baby Girl - Family Session | Ft Lauderdale Family Photographer

Another family that I LOVE to grow with!  I first met Jordan, then just 13 months old, back in 2011 when I took photos of him and his parents at Volunteer Park in Plantation, Fl.  Fast forward to the same time of year in 2012, when I took family photos of him, his dad and his then pregnant mom at South Beach Park on Ft Lauderdale Beach.  Now it's November again and I get to spend the morning with this great family again... this time, a family of FOUR!  Kylie is now 10 months old and already has the same great personality as her big brother.  For this year's pre-holiday photo session, we met at Tree Tops Park in Davie, Fl.  Jordan does a great job of acting like he doesn't want his photo taken while we were in the process... but then still steals the show with that giant smile.  He even got a short photography lesson and took some shots of his own using my backup camera.  As usual, it was very difficult to narrow down my favorites of this shoot, but here are just a few...

1 year old boy | Plantation children PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Sometimes, photos should come with warning labels.... "You're about to smile."  "You're about to laugh."  "You're about to fall in love with this adorable face."  "You're about to book me for your own session so you can have photos of your own children looking this happy."  Okay, okay, I may have just thrown in that last one for fun... but seriously... Can you look at this smile without smiling yourself?!This is Jordan.  He may only be 13 months old but he covered every inch of Volunteer Park in Sunrise last Saturday morning.  So if you find it entertaining to imagine me chasing him everywhere with my camera, feel free to do so.  I didn't want to miss a beat.  Or a shot.  Letting kids run free and play on whatever they want may make the picture-taking process a bit more difficult, but I'm always striving to capture their true personality and natural smiles.  The only way to do that is to let them be themselves.  Are you taking notes?  Tammi J Photography, Lesson #1: Keep the kid(s) happy - the photos will show it.  Its not usually very difficult... until you try to sit the child down and face your camera for that unexciting, but highly sought after posed group photo - kind of like the last one in this post, of Jordan with his Mom and Dad.  I'll let you in on a little secret, though... He's not smiling that big because he likes me... or because I told him to say "cheese".  Which I guess can bring me to lesson #2 - ALWAYS pack a bottle of bubbles.I wasn't the only busy one at this shoot... Jordan ran, played, helped drive the golf cart and even took quite a few photos himself.  But enough small talk... on to the cuteness.  Ready... set... go!
