After a 100-mile drive across Southern Florida, including 6 gator sightings & a lot of swampy nothingness... I got to meet this little 7lb bundle of perfection. Preslee Rose was born just 11 days prior & I think its safe to say this day of photos (although the first of many, I'm sure) was her biggest, most active day yet. She was more interested in being in mommy or daddy's arms than sleeping or modeling anywhere solo, but that just meant a lot more photos of these new parents embracing their new, tiny bundle of joy - which was fine by me! Newborn lifestyle photos are all about allowing you to remember how your child once fit into your arms so perfectly & what it felt like in that first week of having her home... (including every detail, like how the 4-legged "first born" was always sure to stay close by).Congratulations on your new addition - she's beautiful![tg_grid_gallery gallery_id="8779" layout="wide" columns="4"]

Jessie's Maternity Photos | Fort Lauderdale Beach Photographer
After being slightly delayed due to South Florida's schizophrenic weather... (okay, okay, it was really just a typical 5-minute drizzle that I probably overreacted to)... we had excellent weather on Fort Lauderdale Beach for a quick maternity session! Just the right amount of sun peeking through the clouds & a nice breeze to keep us from sweating within minutes... a great reminder of how beautiful our beaches are at this time of night. You know what else is beautiful? This glowing mommy-to-be who also happens to be my sister. Baby girl Morgan is scheduled to make her arrival October 12th, so we of course had to get some prime belly shots in before the endless newborn, baby & family photos start up. Consider this Morgan's very first photo session with Aunt Tammi. So much more to come. I can't wait to meet you, Morgan!!
1 Year Old, Family Photo Session + Cake Smash | Tree Tops Park Photographer
My photography-love-affair started with this amazing family a few years ago, when little Avery was first born. Over the last 3 years, I've had the privilege to not only see her grow up into a beautiful little girl, but also have the same opportunity to capture her little brother, Jackson, since his newborn session a year ago. Last time we got together, we were joined by 8 of their other close family members, spanning 3 generations with a big pre-holiday group session on Hollywood Beach. But being that this was their last session in their (second) baby's first year package, this one was all about Jackson and his first birthday. We started the session at Tree Tops Park for some fun with their wagon, but couldn't resist continuing it in their backyard for some fun cake smash & clean-up photos! Always a blast hanging with this fam - thanks for letting me continue to create lasting memories for your family!
Family of 4, Tree Tops Park | Holiday Family Photos South Florida
The growing Perez family and I were back at Tree Tops Park in Davie last weekend for our annual holiday mini session. I love watching both of these boys grow into little men... but mostly, I love watching my childhood and forever best friend (and "cousin") grow into such an amazing mother. <3
Husband/Wife Photo Session, Tree Tops Park | South Florida Photographer
Jackie & Jonathan had never been to Tree Tops Park and I loved seeing it through their eyes. Its become one of my favorite places to shoot photo sessions... (and judging by the recent crowds, its become a favorite for a lot of other local photographers, as well). However, since I grew up near it and shoot at it so often, I sometimes forget to appreciate its beauty. It really is a very unique spot in South Florida, with a lot of interesting landscapes that you don't see much of in this area. I love the variety... as Jackie pointed out near the end of the session, everywhere we stopped was very different. Since I've mostly been doing mini-sessions there lately, this session was a great change to really take advantage of some of the great spots in the park without worrying about time. And I owe a big thank you to these two for letting me drag them all over this huge park! It was a great day!
1 week old newborn boy | newborn photographer fort lauderdale
Another new arrival to announce! Meet brand new Wyatt Easton. Born just before Halloween, he was only 9 days old at the time of this at-home session with his two proud new parents. Congratulations, Erin & Jason! It was so great to meet Wyatt - he's perfect.
1 Year Old Boy + Family | Baby's First Year Photographer South Florida
Somehow an entire year has passed and I'm wrapping up this family's baby's first year photo package. Seems like just yesterday that I photographed little Jaxon at 15 days old in their home. For this session, we met on the beach, where we managed to get some sun after a cloudy and rainy morning. Here are just a few of my favorite family shots... looking forward to keeping up with this family and continuing to watch these adorable boys grow!
4 + 6 Year Old Sisters | Davie Children Photographer
Mia and Marley came to Tree Tops Park with me to do some location test-shooting (for the following week's mini-session date) and they were the perfect models! There was a fashion show, an impromptu dance, swings and much more. Six year old, Mia loves the camera and loves the chance to do her best modeling moves... Four year old, Marley, on the other hand, is shy and needs some warming up. I love the challenge of capturing that natural moment that really shows kids' true smiles... even if it means following them down the slide at a playground. (That may or may not have been what happened in one of the following photos...)
she said yes, engagement session | South Florida Engagement Photographer
Don't hate me for being a slacking blogger - a lot has happened in the past few months. Including a big move... all the way from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. If you know me, you won't have to ask me why - you know this is where I'm from and this is where my family still is. If you don't know me... well, you probably still wouldn't feel the need to ask me why. But I swear to you, the winters had nothing to do with my decision to leave. I miss Chicago. The city. The people. In fact, this very post is about two of the people I miss the most.Meet Larry and Jenny. My other two-thirds. Two of the best friends anyone could ask for. To say I have been a huge part of their entire relationship probably sounds a bit odd - but its the truth. Such a huge part, that when Larry decided to ask Jenny to marry him, I got to be a part of setting up the proposal. 4 pages of instructions, 200 stars and hearts, 200 pieces of tape, dozens of candles and only 2 close-calls losing my balance on top of a chair trying to reach the ceiling. I may have cursed Larry hundreds of times during the hours I was there setting up, but being a part of his super cute plan and an extra special day in their forever... totally worth it.We knew we had to get engagement photos done before I left for South Florida and we picked a perfect Chicago day to do them. My favorite part of the day was seeing them leave the session more in love than ever. And of course ending the night enjoying pizza and beer on their couch, total LarJenTMJ style.Capturing this love story was so special to me. I can't wait until the wedding!!
